Hello, I am Dr. Juhyun Park

I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Psychology at McGill University. My research seeks to understand cognitive-affective processes that increase risk for depression, anxiety, and co-occurring problems (e.g., substance use, mania). During my doctoral studies with Kristin Gainey (now at the University of Western Australia) at the University at Buffalo, I looked at processes of emotion regulation and their associations with depression and anxiety using intensive longitudinal methods, advanced quantitative modeling (multilevel structural equation modeling, mixture modeling), and meta-analytic approaches. With goals to expand my program of research and gain mastery over neural and behavioral measures, I joined the Translational Research in Affect and Cognition (TRAC) Lab in the Department of Psychology at McGill University for my postdoctoral training. The TRAC Lab is directed by Anna Weinberg, with whom I have been looking at various cognitive-affective processes underlying depression, anxiety, and co-occurring problems (e.g., responses to motivationally salient stimuli) using multi-methods (neural measures, clinical interviews, behavioral measures, self-reports, intensive longitudinal methods) across the lifespan.

Starting in July 2024, I will be joining the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto Scarborough as an Assistant Professor.
